A navigation bar, also known as an app bar, is a tool for users to interactively navigate applications and websites. It also provides a space for branding, as you can see in the example below. If you choose not to include branding, you can use tabs or something similar to take its place.
Top navigation bars can have text links (see Figure 2). They must be aligned to the right side of the navigation, as the left is used for branding and the drawer. This is not recommended as it is not a sustainable practice, especially for mobile users. Instead, use a navigation drawer, because you can use it on desktop and mobile.
